April 3, 2015
The roundtable will identify the nexus risks to businesses and examine why and how leadership from the private sector is critical to successfully managing the synergies and tradeoffs among water, food and energy infrastructure

American Water announced that Gary Naumick, senior director of engineering, will participate in the third of a series of roundtables hosted by U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation Corporate Citizenship Center on April 17, 2015 in Washington, D.C.

The roundtable, "The Energy-Water-Food Nexus: Risks and Opportunities for the Private Sector" will identify the nexus risks to businesses, and examine why and how leadership from the private sector, in collaboration with key stakeholders, is critical to successfully managing the synergies and tradeoffs among water, food and energy infrastructure for the benefit of society, business, and the environment. Naumick will discuss how both new technologies as well as renewal of existing infrastructure are necessary to optimize water, energy and food resources.  He will highlight American Water’s innovative technology and systems approaches for improved resource stewardship.

Presented in partnership with Lockheed Martin and The Bipartisan Policy Center, and hosted by National Geographic, this event will focus on best practices and opportunities for harnessing innovation to address nexus challenges in the U.S., and globally.
