CH2M to Accept Stockholm Industry Water Award

Aug. 19, 2015
The company will accept the award during World Water Week in Stockholm

CH2M, a Colorado-based global service and engineering company, will participate in the 2015 Stockholm International Water Institute’s (SIWI) World Water Week, held Aug. 23 to 28, 2015 in Stockholm, Sweden.

In June, SIWI named CH2M as the recipient of the 2015 Stockholm Industry Water Award (SIWA), which the company will officially accept during World Water Week. CH2M received the SIWA for its leadership in potable water reuse—developing and advancing methods to clean water and increase public acceptance of recycled water.

SIWI will present CH2M’s CEO and Chairman Jacqueline Hinman, Global Water Business Group President Greg McIntyre, Global Technology Director Brock McEwen and Global Technology Leader for Water Reuse Larry Schimmoller with the 2015 SIWA.

The SIWA ceremony is held annually in conjunction with Stockholm World Water Week and highlights the business community’s management of water. This year, the ceremony will celebrate CH2M’s outstanding achievements in advancing state-of-the-art water purification for the environment.

The SIWA was established in 2000 to stimulate and celebrate water achievements by companies in areas such as production improvement, risk management and wise water management solutions. The Royal Swedish Academy of Engineering Sciences and the World Business Council for Sustainable Development were partners in establishing the award, which is also supported by International Water Assn. and World Wide Fund for Nature.
