U.S. Water Alliance announced that registration is available for upcoming August webinars. The Imagine a Day Without Water 2016 webinar will be held Aug. 3, and the Advancing Partnerships for Healthy Watersheds webinar will be held Aug. 18.

The Imagine a Day Without Water 2016 webinar will be offered Wednesday, Aug. 3, 1 to 2 p.m. EST. Imagine A Day Without Water is a national campaign to educate stakeholders, public officials and the general public on how water is essential, invaluable and needs investment. Sept. 15, 2016, hundreds of organizations across the country will host events, author resolutions, engage on social media and more to demonstrate the importance of water to the economy, jobs, community, environment and the public's daily lives. In the webinar, learn about the many ways to participate and to educate your stakeholders and citizens. Click here to register.

The Advancing Partnerships for Healthy Watersheds webinar will be offered Thursday, Aug. 18, 1 to 2 p.m. EST. Watersheds don't fall into clear city or county boundaries. To manage these systems, it can take more than one municipality or organization to design a holistic approach. Tackling multi-jurisdictional challenges requires defined goals, responsibilities and funding sources, which can be difficult to handle without strong partnerships. A successful watershed partnership includes pinpointing specific geographic areas, targeting stressors and including grassroots organizations, all while steadily evaluating and communicating achievements.

In the Aug. 18 webinar, listeners can hear from experts who have successfully advanced watershed partnerships through strategic collaboration and goal setting. Speakers include Carol Collier, senior advisor for Watershed Management and Policy, Academy of Natural Sciences at Drexel University; and Jason Pierce, manager of watershed and contract services, Upper Trinity Regional Water District in Texas.
