Assaad Haddad Joins Heartland Technology

New director of commercial operations brings 30 years of experience

Heartland Technology announced that Assaad Haddad joined the company as director of commercial operations. Haddad brings 30 years of experience in water and wastewater treatment. He will be focused on driving the company’s planned expansion into key global markets and building relationships with engineering firms, which are key channel partners for Heartland.

Most recently, Haddad was commercial engineering project development manager for GE Water, focused on the development of global projects. Prior to that, Haddad served as asset manager of GE’s largest Built-Own-Operate water treatment facilities. Haddad has been involved in a variety of water treatment projects in various geographies and industries, including the Sulaibiya wastewater reclamation plant in Kuwait, the Hamma desalination plant in Algeria, the Moneta Divide shale-gas wastewater treatment plant in Wyoming, and the Alabama Power Plant – Barry water treatment plant.

Fluent in English, Arabic and French, Haddad holds a Master of Science in rural & environmental engineering from the University of Saint Joseph. He resides in the Boston area with his wife and three children.
