Centrisys Uses Phosphorus Removal & Recovery Technology  in WRF Project

In the fall of 2018, the Water Research Foundation (WRF) launched a pilot project to demonstrate the capabilities of CalPrex, a pre-digestion phosphorus removal and recovery technology. Results of the project will help water resource recovery facilities better evaluate and benchmark phosphorus removal technologies available on the market. A study will be published in late 2019 by WRF elaborating on the process performance, benefits, costs and large scale impact.

The project was conducted with participation from Nine Springs Treatment Plant, Milwaukee Metropolitan Sewerage District, Metro Wastewater Reclamation District, and the Massachusetts Water Resources Authority. Additional participants include Colorado School of Mines, University of Wisconsin-Madison, Black and Veatch, Hazen and Sawyer, Centrisys/CNP and Upcycling.
