New Hampshire awards nearly $17M to wastewater, drinking water improvement

The New Hampshire Department of Environmental Services announced grant and loan funds for water infrastructure improvement projects – distributing the majority of funding to clean water infrastructure.

The New Hampshire Department of Environmental Services (NHDES) has announced a combination of grant and loan funds for wastewater and drinking water system improvement projects totaling $16.97 million.

NDHES awarded funding to 11 projects. Of those, 9 projects — or $13.57 million of the total awards — concern clean water infrastructure.

NHDES provided the funds through the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021 (ARPA), the Clean Water State Revolving Fund (CWSRF), and the Drinking Water and Groundwater Trust Fund (DWGT).
