The US Water Alliance awards industry professionals who champion the value of water with a US Water Prize. In 2021, Dr. Lindsay Birt, a client solutions manager for Xylem, received a US Water Prize for Outstanding Rising One Water Leader for fostering innovation in agricultural water, surface water, wastewater, and stormwater management.
Birt is a champion for water equity and uses her expertise in digital solutions to reach equity, affordability and access goals for utilities and clients. She talks about the convergence of the One Water mission and digital tools, the barriers to engaging the industry at large in the One Water movement, and why it is so important for utilities and industry leaders to adopt a One Water mindset.
