The AquaPASS phased activated sludge system utilizes time-based process management in a continuous flow configuration. The system provides nutrient removal performance in a singular wastewater treatment system. Flexible design and equipment options support a wide range of tank geometries, depth and footprint limitations. This allows for easy retrofitting of oxidation ditches or other activated sludge processes.

Features include staged aeration, which provides power savings, time-based anoxic intervals that promote nitrate reduction, flexible nitrogen control to reduce sludge recycling pump requirements, and Phase Separator technology, which optimizes anaerobic treatment for advanced phosphorus removal and reduces waste activated sludge volume from 20% to 50%
