Mighty Earth starts campaign against Tyson Foods

Mighty Earth, an environmental campaign organization, has started a campaign targeting Tyson Foods Inc. The organization wants Tyson to purchase sustainably sourced animal feed to reduce agricultural runoff.

The “Clean It Up, Tyson” campaign seeks to reduce pollution from industrial meat and feed production. Mighty Earth claims that the company’s supply chain contaminates local drinking water and contributes to a dead zone in the Gulf of Mexico. However, Tyson claims that they are not the sole contributor to these issues.

Mighty Earth is holding meetings in communities across the U.S. to draw attention to its campaign.
