Pennsylvania State Senator Tours ADS

Pennsylvania State Senator Gene Yaw (R-23) visited the Advanced Drainage Systems, Inc. (ADS) manufacturing plant to gain first-hand experience of how large diameter thermoplastic pipe is made, and to discuss with ADS executives fair and open competition for products used in federal and state projects. Other topics included the use of recycled plastics and education initiatives by ADS.

Senator Yaw is the Chair of the PA Senate Environmental Resources & Energy Committee and is the Vice Chair of the Agriculture & Rural Affairs Committee. ADS manufactures high-density polyethylene (HDPE) and polypropylene (PP) pipe in diameters up to 60-in. for storm water drainage and sanitary sewer systems.

QBE North America Announces QBE and Ashoka Urban Resilience Challenge

QBE North America in collaboration with Ashoka is excited to announce the launch of the QBE and Ashoka Urban Resilience Challenge. The countrywide challenge will highlight bold and impactful innovation around city ecosystems.

Voltea Products Receive World’s Top Water Quality Certification

Voltea has announced today it has received the world’s leading water certification and listing for its DiUse and DiEntry water treatment systems – NSF/ANSI 42 approval from National Sanitation Foundation (NSF) International.

Business and consumers should take note that this confirmation from the leading independent public health and safety organization makes it possible for Voltea to sell its DiUse and DiEntry units for potable drinking water purification in residences, restaurants, hotels, cafes and all drinking water applications.

KROHNE Tutorials

KROHNE, Inc. announces the release of “KROHNE Tutorials”, a new dedicated YouTube channel for explanatory videos on industrial process measurement devices. It contains user-oriented Installation-Commissioning-Verification (ICV) videos, starting with H250 M40 and OPTISWIRL flowmeters, and can be found at https://krohne.link/krohnetutorials.

ICV videos have been developed by KROHNE to illustrate the first steps a user performs after receiving a new device in a short video. Depending on the device type and its characteristic features, each video covers the typical procedures of unboxing, mechanical installation, electrical installation, commissioning and verification.

Utilis Undertakes Pilot Program

The City of San Diego recently contracted Utilis to conduct a pilot study survey of the city’s drinking water distribution system as part of their innovation exploration program. Over the course of two days Councilmember Scott Sherman (district 7), and representatives from the districts of Council President Pro Tem Barbara Bry (district 1), Councilmember Jennifer Campbell (district 2), Councilmember Mark Kersey (district 5), as well as a representative from U.S. Congressman Scott Peter’s office (52nd district) joined Utilis and their leak detection partners from Utility Service Associates (USA) as they toured the project study area and observed the satellite leak detection method in action.

“This is an excellent opportunity to showcase how the Utilis method is applied in the field and being in our home town of San Diego makes it so much more meaningful,” said James Perry, Utilis VP of Business Development.
