$140 million investment includes 13 new moulding machines.

Infiltrator Water Technologies, a manufacturer of products for the decentralized water and wastewater industries, announced the expansion of the Infiltrator Water Technologies’ Advanced Molding Facility in Winchester, Kentucky. The total investment in the Advanced Molding Facility is now greater than $140 million.

The facility expands the company's presence within the Winchester Industrial Park, where Infiltrator has manufactured products since the early 1990s. The expanded facility features 150,000 square feet of manufacturing space plus 14,000 square feet of office space. This site also includes 400,000 square feet of outdoor distribution and storage space.

The expanded facility adds 13 new molding machines ranging in size from 450 tons to 16,000 tons allowing the company to expand the production capacity of the Infiltrator septic chambers by more than seven million added units. Production of the new CM-Series septic tank also takes place within this expanded facility and triples the production capacity of Infiltrator one-thousand-gallon septic tanks.

“This new building expands upon our abilities as a plastics manufacturer,” said Ron Brochu, vice president of manufacturing. “We have recently added 13 state of the art molding machines and introduced the ability to utilize compression-molding to manufacture our new CM-1060 septic tank using a 16,000-ton press. The compression molding program is a first of its kind, which has been in development for more than three years.”

The Advanced Molding Facility expands Infiltrator’s 250-acre campus within the Winchester Industrial Park to seven buildings totaling over one-million square feet of space under roof.
