Schreiber’s grit and grease removal system consists of a rectangular concrete channel with two parallel chambers. One chamber is for the settling of grit, and the other floats grease to the surface for removal. In the grit channel, coarse bubble diffusers create a continuous and adjustable roll; in the grease channel, floatables are continuously transported to the end of the channel by an air/water-skimming system. The rectangular design provides efficient removal over a wide range of flows.
