Earlier this year, the Department of Defense issued a memo halting the incineration of PFAS as a method of destruction for its activities. This memo stirred conversations in the water and wastewater sector regarding disposal and destruction methods. But how did it really impact the industry.

Brad Devore, a parter for Womble Bond Dickinson, discusses the status of PFAS regulations throughout the U.S., particularly at the state levels, and explains what the DoD memo could mean for utilities. He also talks about disposal liabilities for PFAS, especially if the chemicals get added to CERCLA.
